ASA GIVES INSTRUCTION AT THE U.S ARMY K9 SYMPOSIUM

Earlier this year ASA was invited to instruct at the u.s military working dog Symposium in Alpena Michigan teaching Combat tracking. As a course instructor our role is to pass our knowledge to other soldiers, marines and airforce personnel to improve their working ability and subject knowledge. However the Symposium ended up being so much more than I initially expected. All the K9 teams that attended were enthusiastic and displayed a willingness to learn, embracing new methods. As an instructor I was able to meet and discuss variations in tracker training methods with other trainers from around the world but most importantly I made new lifelong friends and experienced once again the family that is the world of working K9's. If you are a working k9 handler in either the police or military (u.s or NATO partner) I strongly recommend attendance next year. There is no enrolment fees. ASA is pleased to announce we have been asked to teach at the 2025 symposium.
